I think for each new mom it's different, but so nice to know that it's just as normal and okay to not feel crazy in love with them at first. Being a mom can be so hard and I love your realness about the whole experience...including the huge joys! Thanks for sharing. --AmberAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9954174.post-28053823243518929812012-05-27T20:33:24.473-07:002012-05-27T20:33:24.473-07:00I didnt feel the babymoon with my first. I think I had the babymoon more with my second because we had to try so long to get pregnant with her. Each child I got more relaxed with and so felt more attached right away.

Love the honesty! I wasn't expecting Lucas to sound how he did, or look like he did when he came out. I wasn't used to a baby who never slept, or only slept on or with me. I remember praying "Oh Lord, please help me look back on this as a short -repeat- SHORT challenging time. Help me through it" I must have prayed that a hundred times. And then those sleep deprived moments of holding an exhausted infant got far and few between.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt like this with their baby. I am glad that I've fallen in love with both, each one differently.Mirandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09310210034719922176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9954174.post-86765853714715668452012-05-26T19:48:54.502-07:002012-05-26T19:48:54.502-07:00I love your candour Heidi - and I can indentify wi...I love your candour Heidi - and I can indentify with some of what you have experienced. Newborns are so often not cute, they're very alien like & don't look much like the adorable babies/children they become :)
I love your honesty Heidi, thank you!Sarah Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13810598495260116733noreply@blogger.com
