josh is out at poker night. i'm all flannel-pyjama'd up, allowing my hair to air dry into quite the frizz ball. it's actually kind of raining outside. perfect time to blog.
so last night sara and i planned on having a games night at their house, where we would, once again, kick the boy's arses in cranium. then we decided we'd just have a girl's night with zandra and go out for coffee. then we realized that we could have a bit of a girl's coffee night AND kick the boys arses in cranium. and that is exactly what we did. the highlight of the evening for me, aside from my coconut mocha, was the sight of mike manipulating josh's hips into side-to-side movements, hoping that josh would soon guess the words "hula dancer". he took just enough time to guess that we all got to enjoy the spectacle long enough to bring tears to our eyes.
shae was generous enough to allow all of us to test our blood sugar level with his kit. mine was by far the highest. zandra is on a new sugar-reduced diet that her midwife just prescribed. poor girl. i told her to check out aimee's blog because aimee is also pregnant and can't really eat sugar at all. today i noticed that zandra had visited aimee's blog and commented and i got that warm little feeling that interesting connections in blog world can only give. a couple of days ago i admitted to reading the blog of a girl i do not know, then found out that kristal and leah read her blog too! and that leah lives next door to her sister of all things. so i got kind of curious and added a site meter to my blog. the results startled me a little at first. an average of 70 people visit my blog every day. most are from bc and california, but some are from places (like skookumchuk) where i'm sure i know no one! and who the heck lives in kelowna?! so my curiosity is piqued and i'd really be interested to hear from some of you mystery blog-readers. the only rule is that you can't just be "anonymous" because i find that a little creepy. leah d's blog is a good example of anonymous comment posting gone awry. (and yes, i admit i had a hand in leading it awry) quite the drama there, lately. and do NOT allow yourself to pass by leah s's blog without taking a bit of time there. does anyone else think she should begin a novel? or at least a collection of short stories?!
well, i should get to bed...another work day tomorrow. 8 days until i fly home!!! (techinically 9 until i actually get onto canadian soil) am craving white spot's bc burger like none other right now. mmmmm...

The hula dancer was quite the spectacle! I had a great time with you all on Friday - girls coffee night, and watching you and Sara kick some bootie! :)
Oh, and your wedding pictures are gorgeous. So, someone actually made your dress for you!?! That's amazing...
Zandra
isn't it funny how we can still crave things from home even though it isnt like we are living in a strange land that doesnt serve the same things.
I'm guilty for reading blogs of people I only sort of know- I knew them but they probably have no clue who I am. :O)
Have a safe trip!
I too read the blog of a girl I only sort of met once. I visit your blog all the time, you always have such nice things to say about everyone around you and your life, even when it's tough it doesn't seem to show as much as I feel it shows in me and on my blog.
You should see Jennifers tattoo now that she too lives in the states. It's not unlike yours:)
Hey, Heidi, Skookumchuk is in the East Kootenays, and we just drove thru there last week on our drive from Cranbrook to Radium Hot Springs!! It's not a town at all, so I wonder who wrote from there. Could be some of our Goodwin relatives!! A. Lil
