i have just come to the realization that i have become one of those people. the kind of person who doesn't get around to blogging often enough for others to maintain an interest. NOOOO!! i have all this new competition around what with darla's hilarious stories and leah's adorable pictures and all these new blogs on the block... am i just a boring old-timer?

okay, seriously, i feel like i owe an explaination for the lack of bloggage lately and it is this: my life consists of mainly 2 things of great importance. 1. my husband. 2. my job. (my job is only important to me because it is quite necessary at the moment.) whenever i'm not "living at the store" i am either in the car driving to or from the store, recuperating on the couch from being at the store, or asleep in bed. of course, i could also be in the shower, making dinner, doing groceries, attending bible study, but those things just take teeny weeny amounts of time out of my life whereas work takes great big gobs of time out of my life. i just finished working 7 days in a row. i know for a fact that God didn't intend for that to happen because even HE rested after working for 6 days. i felt slightly insane yesterday and a wee bit afraid that my brain was turning into cottage cheese.

is that a good enough reason? well, it's gotta be because that's all i have. today is a Very Much Looked Forward To Day Off. it's raining slightly, which is nice. i started the day off with a phone call from my mom, which is a great way to start the day. then i went to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned, which wasn't so bad. the girl that cleaned them was about my age and we had a lot to talk about (well, she mainly talked while i "ahh-haaad") and she did NOT even scold me for never flossing. so that was nice.

then i went to sara's for our tuesday coffee. now, i have not been to sara's for tuesday coffee in FOREVER. the last time i went was before my visit to canada. it was SO nice and i realized how much i missed just chatting with girls about girl things. of course i still missed seeing gia and j'lene and zandra, but it was nice getting to know monique better. sara gave me a couple of great recipe ideas and i am making one of them as we speak: bbq'd ribs, done in the crock pot. if i breathe in real deep, i can already smell them cooking away. i'm gonna make baked beans and corm bread to go with them.

then i did groceries and now here i am. josh just walked in the door and i haven't even vaccuumed yet today. okay, i have a couple of pictures to post...they'll probably show up before this post. the bracelet was a birthday gift from josh that i forgot to write about. my friend j'lene is a very talented jewelry maker. she made the middle part out of a dry gourd. josh himself picked out the colors...i was QUITE impressed. now josh is reading this over my shoulder in a funny voice and i cannot concentrate, so off i go to beat him up.
