coming soon!

i've been informed by a few people that my template was "hard to read" so i'm trying out yet another one and i'm ALSO using large print, so i HOPE that everyone is satisfied.

speaking of picky blog readers...ahem. i have a friend, let's call her Audrey for anonymity's sake. she lives in my town, which will remain nameless as it always has. this friend is convinced that blogging is SO unsafe. she told me, just last night that "if someone really wanted to try to find you, heidi, they could." she believes that lurkers pore over the blogs of innocent housewives, gleaning any small detail that may lead them to discover the whereabouts of these women. i'm not sure what she thinks they'll do to these bloggers, but knowing Audrey it's probably something horrendous straight from the latest episode of CSI. Audrey is the type of girl who keeps pepper spray in her shower. no joke. its there just in case someone enters her tightly locked house while she is in the middle of shampooing. she has said that once they offer the technology to put tracking chips into children, she will be the first in line to snap them up so that no predator can take her children away without being found.

oddly enough, she is a self admitted blog fan. mind you, the list of blogs that she visits daily is short, but she never hesitates to let me know when it's been too long since i've last blogged. she told me that last night, right after talking our friend dena out of starting a blog herself. she warned dena of the dangers she would be putting her family under if she decided to begin publicly chronicling her daily adventures, and then told me that it's been too long since my last post. huh.

anyhow, i'm pleased to annouce that i managed to talk dena back into starting a blog of her own (and now that its public, dena, there's no turning back!) soon i will introduce you to the adventures of a homeschooling renee zellweger lookalike who's californian accent has been replaced by the southern twang of her new state. hysterical giggles will be included.

(now please, dear dena, won't you delurk and comment already??!)

I'm trying to figure out who said person is. I'm pretty sure I know. I, myself, give way too much information, what town I live in, what street I live on, names of my family members, the layout of myhouse. It's a wonder I haven't been murdered yet. It's probably bound to happen sometime soon. I, for one, am glad that you blog. Thanks. And Dena, blog lurker, if you're reading this. GET A BLOG ALREADY! I can't talk to you until you do! Well, I could track down your phone number and call but it's easier to be cyber friends.

I am more worried about my friends and family finding my blog than I am about some axe murderer seeking me out. I like having the freedom to write about whatever is on my mind and express my opinions freely without being worried about what people in "real life" will think.

I am convinced that someday, someone I know will Google just exactly the right combination of words to yield my blog as one of the top search results.

I'm a weirdo :)

You make me laugh Heidi. I love your new template! You are a good writer - I used to think your creativity writing gene might have come from me (ha), but reading dad's stuff, I realize he is probably your source. this is mom, I think somehow it is going to say this is cherie.

Funny thing about the non-bloggers. Sounds like your readers are a wee bit fussy. What do I know? I let it all out and I know who my 8 readers are :) On the random chance that someone wants to come get me I think they'll find my listed phone number before they find my blog. ha!

this is a very pleasant pink -- very nice with the grey too. a good template choice, though your profile pic is a bit distorted & compressed, like the template is resizing the picture's size and/or proportions to fit inside it's box. I like the swirly leaf designs too.

AND i am so glad to have made it back onto your links list! :)

The pink IS much easier on the eyes. My eyes were bugging out of my head with the black, but I didn't want to say anything because you liked the template so much.

My eyes thank you.

As for the non-bloggers.......they clearly don't realize that you can privatize your blog should you deem that necessary and then YOU pick who reads you. So the "crazy people are after you if you start a blog" song and dance isn't very valid anymore. Sigh. There are sooooooo many ways around it. Don't use names! Don't post pictures. Don't tell people where you live in your posts or use any lingo that remotely give a clue. Sooooo many things can be done.

Don't fight the love. We are one big happy blogger family. That's all I have to say.

Hmmmmmmmm. I wonder if "audrey" reads my blog. (And yes, Lady S.... I know who you are.) Hee hee.

Heidi, Like the pink much better than the black. It is easier on the eyes for sure. :)
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!!!!!

Oh Heidi,
I love it .. .I tell people that are overly concerned about my safety and well being that surely there are no predators out there looking for middle aged grammies to abduct. Really, if there were only two hundred or two thousand blogs we might need to be concerned but no not with zillions.

So, is my blog hard to read? I didn't realize that people were being polite and not telling me it was difficult. I'd appreciate some feed back on this. (though I really love and may not change my black)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this template! I love Audrey too, even with her crazy, over-protective ways. I love that she carries a baseball bat and bear spray with her to get the mail. And I'm so excited that Dena is finally starting her own blog!
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!!!
