happy easter

my mom and dad arrived yesterday and will be staying for a whole week! my mom is downstairs making lovella's paska recipe, tristan is napping, my dad is out walking and enjoying the warm weather, and my dear husband is relaxing in front of the tv. i'm going to follow my nose down to the kitchen to see if i can snag a bit of sweet easter deliciousness there before joining josh and enjoying the rest of my day.

happy easter everyone! i won't be posting again until my parent's have left. :)

Laura and I just finished making three loaves and a dozen buns of Paska. I thought about you and knowing that your mom was in town was hoping this would be your chance to make the paska as the Lady of house in her Mennonite kitchen. I hope you head back downstairs and learn from your mom!

Happy Easter to all of you!

Oh, I hope you enjoyed the paska immensely!! Arlin wants me to send it all the way to China, but I didn't even bake any this year. I made hot cross buns, and they are hard to find in some stores!! But I forgot about paska, and it's OK, because I'm the one that eats most of it!!!

I can't even remember how I ended up on your blogspot but being a relative newcomer I must say how I was excited to see that we have one thing in common....Lovella's wonderful blogspot. She is an amazing cook and having those old mennonite roots, it is through a search for paska on line that I began to blog. Anyway...your spot is interesting too and maybe one day I will have time to read more. Feel free to come on over and visit...I am not creative or much of a cook but I do like to chat...it is a very strong german/family trait :)
