sam's grammie chain

upon watching his older brother create a beautiful, blue and orange countdown chain for grammie's visit, samuel found a pair of decorative scissors, some scotch tape, and the leftover remnants of paper that tristan didn't need. he set to work, concentrating so hard, on making his own countdown chain. after what seemed like hours, he proudly showed me his handiwork. he insists that there are 10 "grammie chains", though every time he tries to count them, he comes up with a different number. these little flags of anticipation will decorate our table until grammie's arrival. truth be told, i may actually be looking forward to her visit more than my children are and that is saying a lot :)
