i have a job interview at 1:00 today. i have not been interviewed for a job in 8 years. i am extremely nervous. the position is for assistant supervisor at family christian bookstore in escondido. at this point, i'm conjuring up every possible question he may ask me, and getting the answers on the tip of my brain, ready to give them without a moment's hesitation. the only problem is, i know how things work: he will not ask me any of the questions i am thinking of. does this stop me from thinking up questions? no. i have purposely avoided caffeine this morning to keep me from spazzing out. but right now a nice, hot mug of coffee sounds extremely comforting.
in other news, josh and i are famous. ( i would advise you to keep anything with our signatures on it, as they are becoming more and more valuable as we speak). actually, we are just featured on the brochure for wish photography (www.wishphotograf.com). the photographer, skip o'donnell, was our wedding photographer and when you open up his new brochure, there we are, large as life. it was kind of disconcerting at first, as our picture is one of the largest on the brochure. i said to josh, "does he think we're that good looking?" apparently he does. i was going to post that picture on this blog, but now i don't think i will, as it may appear that we are vain. we are not vain, i promise you. just beautiful.
had a very lovely weekend. on saturday we brought our recycling to the depot and got some wonderful cash that we immediately spent on friends season 9 dvds. we are addicted to friends, probably because we don't have cable. we try our best not to watch every single episode in one day, but rather savor them slowly. then we went to watch our friend's 6 year old son, shae play tee-ball. it was great! it was their first game and there were just dozens of the cutest little boys running around, caps covering their eyes, without a clue as to what they were doing. then josh took me to a golf course so that i could "practice my swing". we both knew that he really meant for himself to practice, since he was playing golf the next day, but i feigned ignorance and had a blast. i didn't even suck too badly. of course, next to josh, it looked like i really was awful, but all alone, i think i did pretty good. on sunday, josh golfed while jessica and i and the kids had dessert together, and then looked around target for awhile. went to church that evening. it was just a very pleasant weekend.
even though my interview is still 4 hours away, i feel an urgent need to figure out what to wear. must go.

Hi Heidi,
What was your interview like? If they don't hire you, they just don't know what we know - you are terrific.
I enjoy reading your blog.
Going out with your folks for breakfast next Tues.
Blessings,
Kathy (Sarah's other grandma)
Hi, Heidi!
I haven't read your blog for a while , so I thought I'd check up on you. Low and behold - you're being interviewed for a job! That's exciting - how did it go? That type of thing would be perfect for you!
I'm glad to hear that you're doing well. Brian and I just put an offer on a house (OHMYGOODNESS) - dealing with such a huge amount of money is a bit overwhelming. I can tell you more later.
Have a great day,
Jeanette
PS Charlene's wedding is this Saturday.
