tulip time

i feel the need to post a blog just to explain that i haven't been blogging lately because nothing exciting has been happening in my life. really. and also because i wanted to post a picture of my niece sarah who is, i believe, one of the most beautiful human beings that God has ever created. if you read cara's blog, you've already seen this picture, but as a proud auntie, i had to post it myself as well.

my little sister and brother are planning a trip down to see us next month, which will be fun. i was talking to cherie the other day and telling her that there may be a couple of days where josh and i will both be working and so she and jamie may have to stay here in ramona while we're gone. she said, "that's okay...its STILL california!" that made me laugh.

i've handed out a couple of resumes this week, in hopes of another part time job, since the 2 i have are not really keeping me that busy. i applied at a christian bookstore in escondido~ couldn't help it, really, since that's what i'm so used to doing, and i know so much about christian books. speaking of which, the church library that i've been wanting to start for some time now is finally kind of starting! we've been getting books donated by members of the church, so as soon as i get a bit of a budget, i can start processing them and get this library going! i get really excited when i think about it.

josh and i got a bunch of flower bulbs for free from a neighbor who works at a drugstore. apparently, its too late to sell bulbs anymore, so he got to just take them. neither of us knew if the flowers would come up, but we planted them anyway. sure enough, there are tiny green shoots popping up everywhere! i did a little dance when i first saw them, and josh ALMOST did too, except that he doesn't really ever dance unless i force him to. so we are pumped about that and now can hardly wait to see them start to flower. its funny because neither josh nor i were ever into gardening until after we got married. now we're so into it, we almost argue about who gets to water the plants. i wish i had a digital camera so i could take a picture of our hobbit hole (aka our backyard) and show you all of our plants. its really quite pretty.

well, thats all the exciting news from down here (i told you nothing exciting has happened.) stay tuned, though. you never know what may be around the next corner...

Awh...I agree (of course) that Sarah is very beautiful. Mom gave us a pic of you and Josh planting bulbs. We have it on our fridge. You look so beautiful in it. I see it and miss you guys. Any updates on the work situation? So cool James and Cherie are heading your way!
