dusty

my blog is covered in cobwebs, which i will slowly but surely try to clear away over the next several weeks. the blogging break was a good one, but i miss it and now that the summer is almost over, i feel a desire to get back into the groove of writing and recording little snippets of my life.

so much has happened....my baby girl learned how to walk....my parents came to stay for a whole week...sam turned 3...my brother james and his wife jacelyn drove down for a much anticipated and fun-filled visit...i taught tristan to read and am now homeschooling him for his kindergarten year...my little sister cherie and her husband ben discovered they are pregnant with their first...i seeded and grew some amazing sunflowers...a good friend found out her baby has cancer...we found frogs and lizards in our yard...josh and i started crossfit (what was i THINKING?!?)... ava turned 1...we bought a minivan...and the clock just never stops ticking and the days on the calendar keep floating on by and there have been so many times lately when i've had to shake my head and just stare at my little family and wonder how in the world did we go from just me and josh to all of these little people? they are so cute and funny and aggravating and dependent and lovable and exhausting that it just takes my breath away.

so, hi. i'm back. and i'll write more soon.

Lovely to be just checking fbook and discover a blog post link from you!! Life has a way of doing that - changing all the time, doesn't it? Seems though that things happen at a faster pace when you have a young family. Love you all.
